It’s a refreshing take on a quiz show format with a nice jeopardy element. You either jump to first, or slide to last place after just one question.
Switch is a fun-filled quiz show so simple it doesn’t need points. Five numbers, five people behind them: the contestants’ position indicates their ranking. Every correct or wrong answer makes them switch positions, in both directions.
At the end of every round the contestant furthest to the right drops out. But all contestants come back the next day, since they battle each other over five daily episodes, allowing them to become familiar to the audience, to each other and to the host.
The contestant who plays the final has got to make his way from position five to one. With every correct answer he moves up one position, every wrong answer sends him all the way back to five. Having reached the first position, he wins the cash prize. If he doesn’t, the prize funds keeps rolling over until someone wins.
With its familiar feeling, combined with an easy-going atmosphere and highly appealing dynamics, Switch is the hit quiz show of the moment.
